St George's Pl
Liverpool
L1 1JJ
Where to find the guest waiting area:
Guests will need to wait on the Power and Glory Landing, which you can access via the south entrance to the Hall (see further down the page for a picture). Please wait here prior to the ceremony. This entrance has 20 steps.
Accessible/optional entrance:
If anyone has difficulty using steps, you should enter via the Visitor Centre at ground level and take the lift to level 2 (as you come in through the entrance, turn left to the lifts). The Power and Glory Landing is opposite the lift exit. This route is step free.
See below for a street map and a detailed picture.
The ceremony will take place at 2:30pm. Guests should arrive between 2:00-2:10pm.
The Sefton Room only has space for 50 guests, who we have had to choose carefully to keep to this number. If you have not been told that you can bring a plus one/your partner, please do not bring someone with you.
There is an accessible toilet at entry level (to the right as you arrive). There are also accessible toilets on the 3rd floor close to the ceremony rooms.
Here you can see the two entrances to St. George's Hall. The entrance behind the columns will take you directly into the waiting area for the ceremony. The entrance by the road has the lift option.
The steps for the column entrance are on the side nearest Lime Street station (station shown in pic).
The road-side entrance which has the lift. Go through all the doors and turn left before you reach the stairs. This is a welcome/tourist centre so there should be people around if you need help. There are also toilets on this floor.
The Power and Glory landing, where guests will need to wait before they are welcomed into Sefton Room for the ceremony.
